Douglas and Mycroft, my two companions.

I’m Tenzo—software engineer, writer, and philosopher.

From a young age, I have loved creating. I still remember the day I woke from a vivid dream packed with exciting ventures and new discoveries. Eager to memorialise the experience, I did the only thing an eight-year-old could think of at the time—grabbing the closest sheet of paper and begin writing.

My passion for creating and learning only grew as the years went by. You name the job, I’ve probably been interested at one point. I was eager to see everything for myself, experience the ins and outs of the endless opportunities this world had to offer. Eventually I had to come to terms that doing well, everything, was quite unrealistic—but I was, and still am, very interested and passionate about too many things.

And honestly... there’s just too much to learn and too little time! My first degrees were completed with the intent to pursue law school (and scratch that writer’s itch), but two years later I wanted to do something more. Something creative. Something challenging in an unfamiliar way.

So here I am, ready to embark on an adventure to combine my enthusiasm for topics so different that one might find it ludicrous that some common ground might exist. From a love of helping others, a deep appreciation for the fine arts, and those late night conversations on ethics in AI, I may finally be equipped—as a programmer—with the tools and mindset to not only create, but to continue my journey as a lifelong learner. And that’s the beauty of computer science—when you think you know something, you actually know nothing at all!
